Director, Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure

Location: Red Cat corporate headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah, or manufacturing locations in Salt Lake City, Utah; Valdosta, Georgia; West Palm Beach, Florida; San Diego, California; Torrance, California; or Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. Travel is required several times per year. Candidates must be a U.S. Person under applicable export-control regulations.

What you will do

• Own the enterprise infrastructure architecture and roadmap across identity, networking, connectivity, cloud and on-premises hosting, compute, storage, virtualization, endpoint platforms, and shared services.
• Lead design reviews, evaluate failure modes and dependencies, establish technical standards, and guide engineers through complex infrastructure decisions.
• Plan infrastructure lifecycles, capacity, modernization, cloud migration, technical debt reduction, and system integration across multiple sites, tenants, and identity providers.
• Lead five direct reports, coordinate infrastructure delivery with the managed service provider, and establish effective ownership, escalation, and handoff practices.
• Own reliability, monitoring, backup integrity, recovery readiness, controlled changes, automation, incident resolution, documentation, and support coverage.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and project management stakeholders while preparing to assume infrastructure budget ownership.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of progressive enterprise IT infrastructure experience, including at least five years leading technical teams.
• Experience supporting complex, multi-site manufacturing organizations with multiple tenants and identity providers.
• Architecture and operations experience across both cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows, Microsoft 365, and Azure or related Microsoft cloud infrastructure.
• Experience improving reliability, backup and recovery, change practices, documentation, vendor or MSP delivery, and communicating technical costs and decisions to business leaders.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by applicable U.S. export-control regulations, including 22 CFR 120.62.
• Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence and must not require sponsorship for export-restricted work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft GCC High, commercial environments, B2B access, and lifecycle provisioning.
• Defense or aerospace manufacturing experience and familiarity with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC-related infrastructure, or controlled information.
• Experience with acquisitions, identity consolidation, site standardization, network segmentation, cloud migration, or MSP transitions.
• Experience supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux, Azure or AWS hosting, SolidWorks PDM, GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins.
• Relevant degree or practical experience and architecture, cloud, networking, or service-management certifications.
