Director, Enterprise Architecture Strategy, Core Platform

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; hybrid work with flexibility to work from the office and virtually based on business and client needs

Salary: CAD 135,000–195,000 per year, plus eligible bonus and incentive plans

What you will do

• Define future-state architectures, transition roadmaps, principles, standards, reference architectures, and decision boundaries.
• Drive integration across cloud, infrastructure, networks, security, identity, platforms, APIs, applications, and foundational technology services.
• Provide strategic analysis, executive reporting, investment recommendations, and visibility into architecture dependencies, risks, and outcomes.
• Lead cross-domain architecture planning, governance, decision documentation, escalation, and resolution.
• Partner with engineering and operations leaders to ensure architecture direction is practical, financially responsible, secure, resilient, and sustainable in production.
• Define measurable outcomes for technology health, risk reduction, resilience, cost efficiency, simplification, and platform adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business technology management, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10 or more years of progressive architecture experience, including enterprise, portfolio, or cross-domain responsibility.
• Experience developing enterprise technology strategies, future-state architectures, integrated roadmaps, standards, and transition plans.
• Broad knowledge of cloud platforms, networks, operating systems, middleware, identity, security, virtualization, application hosting, APIs, integration, automation, and platform engineering.
• Experience with cloud migration, infrastructure transformation, vulnerability remediation, technology lifecycle management, technical debt reduction, and cross-domain dependency resolution.
• Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, influence, financial analysis, and judgment regarding technology investment and risk trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Enterprise architecture certification such as TOGAF, IASA CITA, or an equivalent credential.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
