Lead Systems Architect

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership across major architecture and engineering efforts within the DTAM program.
• Define enterprise architecture standards for cloud-native and data-centric systems.
• Design scalable architectures for high-volume, near real-time data processing.
• Guide legacy system modernization into modular, service-oriented, and cloud-native solutions.
• Establish architectural governance through design reviews, technical standards, and technology selection.
• Align architecture with mission objectives while mentoring architects and engineers and presenting recommendations to senior government stakeholders.

Requirements

• US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 15+ years of experience in systems architecture, enterprise architecture, or related technical leadership.
• Experience designing and leading large-scale IT systems or modernization initiatives.
• Deep expertise across application, data, and infrastructure architecture domains.
• Strong experience with cloud architecture, cloud-native design patterns, system integration, API design, and service-oriented architectures.
• Understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, secure delivery, high-volume data processing, and legacy system constraints.

Nice to have

• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture framework certification.
• AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud architecture certification.
• CISSP or strong secure system design experience.
• Experience with large-scale federal data programs.
• Experience designing architectures incorporating AI/ML capabilities.
