IT Architecture Specialist (Cloud)

Base pay range: CAD 129,400–179,400 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, guidelines, and governance practices.
• Design end-to-end solutions integrating applications, data, infrastructure, on-premises systems, and cloud platforms.
• Lead technical design sessions and provide architectural guidance throughout project lifecycles.
• Define integration patterns using APIs, enterprise service bus technologies, and microservices architectures.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption and implementation strategies.
• Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, availability, monitoring, resilience, and disaster recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in IT architecture, solution design, systems architecture, or related technology roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services, virtualization, networking, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Knowledge of security architecture, data protection, privacy, regulatory compliance, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience providing technical leadership and influencing architectural decisions.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with flight operations, flight training, regulated industries, or government-related environments.
• TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, CISSP, or ITIL certification.
