Lead Pricing Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid, with flexible working available within the UK; international travel may be required to collaborate with colleagues in Belgium, Portugal and Turkey.

Salary: £48,000–£72,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support delivery of the Group TX UW & Pricing roadmap and lead pricing-related projects.
• Develop, validate, review and share predictive and machine learning models across operating companies.
• Build and maintain datasets, pricing models and monitoring solutions for pilots and proofs of concept.
• Conduct pricing analyses and prepare recommendations for senior stakeholders and local pricing teams.
• Support rate releases, rate-engine deployment and review of live pricing.
• Deputise for the Senior Pricing Manager and contribute to strategic pricing direction.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a numerical discipline.
• Experience in insurance pricing or a related analytical field.
• Strong programming skills for data manipulation, including SAS or a comparable language.
• Experience with predictive modelling techniques such as logistic regression, GLMs, GBMs, GAMs, decision trees, random forests, support vector machines or neural networks.
• Experience with R, Matlab, Python or Octave, plus Emblem and Radar.
• Ability to explain advanced statistical concepts to non-statistical audiences and influence senior stakeholders.
