Crypto Officer (COMSEC)

Location: Orlando, FL; on-site daily in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)

What you will do

• Manage, safeguard, inventory, and account for COMSEC equipment, cryptographic keys, and classified materials.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot NSA-approved encryption devices, including TACLANEs and General Dynamics encryptors.
• Conduct inspections, audits, security briefings, training, and required COMSEC reporting.
• Maintain implementation plans, desktop procedures, accounting records, and documentation.
• Respond to emergency directives and suspected or confirmed COMSEC compromises.
• Coordinate daily with logistics, installation, security, event, and network personnel to support secure communications.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• At least 5 years of experience in COMSEC, secure communications, or cryptographic management.
• Experience with networking technologies such as DMVPN, MACsec, and MPLS.
• Familiarity with NSA-approved encryption devices and COMSEC management procedures.
• Ability to work on-site daily in a SCIF environment.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for mission requirements.

Nice to have

• Security, networking, or vendor certifications such as CISSO, CISM, GCIH, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, JNCIA, or Palo Alto ACE.
• Experience with zero-trust architectures, including Cisco ISE and Palo Alto.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Power Automate, Azure, or AWS.
• Knowledge of General Dynamics Agile Implementation, RMF principles, or ITIL.
• Ability to mentor, train, and lead diverse technical teams.
