COMSEC Manager (Defense)

What you will do

• Lead the company-wide COMSEC program and serve as the senior subject matter expert.
• Manage COMSEC accounts, cryptographic material, equipment, facilities, records, inventories, and personnel access.
• Establish policies, procedures, controls, training, authorization, and certification programs.
• Oversee secure deployment, operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of COMSEC equipment.
• Coordinate inspections, audits, investigations, incident response, corrective actions, and compliance reviews.
• Advise executives, program managers, engineers, operations teams, government authorities, customers, and auditors.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in COMSEC, classified communications, information assurance, or a related security discipline.
• Extensive experience as a COMSEC Manager, COMSEC Custodian, Alternate COMSEC Custodian, or equivalent program lead.
• Experience managing complex COMSEC programs, facilities, equipment, accounts, and cryptographic key material.
• Strong knowledge of NSA, DoD, NISPOM, government, and customer-specific COMSEC requirements.
• Experience leading inspections, audits, investigations, risk assessments, and corrective-action programs.
• Active Top Secret/SCI/SAP clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. Government clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience leading COMSEC programs across multiple sites, programs, or customer environments.
• Defense, aerospace, intelligence, national security, military COMSEC, or cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with electronic key management systems, cryptographic equipment, secure voice and data systems, and classified networks.
• Startup or high-growth security program experience.
• COMSEC Manager training or certification, or CISSP, CISM, Security+, or equivalent certification.
