Systems Analyst II/III - System Administration (Observability)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize observability solutions across infrastructure, applications, services, cloud platforms, and operational technology environments.
• Improve alerting, event correlation, telemetry collection, dashboards, service health views, and operational KPIs.
• Partner with infrastructure, application support, cybersecurity, network, and operations teams to identify visibility gaps and define monitoring requirements.
• Analyze complex incidents and recurring problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and automation improvements.
• Review dashboards, configurations, integrations, and automation while mentoring monitoring and observability specialists.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, standards, and standard operating procedures for observability practices.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments focused on observability, monitoring strategy, telemetry, and operational visibility.
• Experience with at least two enterprise observability or monitoring platforms, such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Microsoft SCOM, OpsView, or Venafi.
• Experience with PowerShell or Python scripting, Ansible Automation Platform, observability automation, and API-based integrations.
• Strong knowledge of metrics, logs, traces, events, system performance, event management, dashboards, and alerting.
• Experience with infrastructure, networking, Windows or Unix/Linux systems, storage, virtualization, public cloud technologies, and data center environments.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor colleagues, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting observability in hybrid, segmented, or air-gapped environments.
• Experience monitoring SCADA systems, operational technology, or other critical operational environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL, incident and change management, ServiceNow, CMDB relationships, service mapping, and operational support workflows.
