Sr Principal Systems Engineer (TS/SCI Required)

Location: Fully remote, fully on-site, or hybrid/flex depending on preference and business needs; on-site work is based at Annapolis Junction or San Jose, California. Travel of 30%–50% is required.

Salary: USD $183,371–$203,428 per year.

What you will do

• Apply RF and SATCOM expertise to maintain reliable mission-critical antenna systems across program locations.
• Support equipment selection, procurement, installation, integration, and customization.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
• Use continuous-monitoring feedback to coordinate spares, resources, maintenance priorities, and field activities.
• Provide technical support for complex field issues and augment broader field tasking when needed.
• Lead systems development activities and identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Department of Defense Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required at the time of hire.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Strong antenna-system diagnostics and practical RF/SATCOM experience.
• Technical leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer-influence skills.
• Availability for 30%–50% travel based on work location and business needs.
