hirify.global designs, builds, and operates a large constellation of imaging satellites and delivers satellite-derived data through a cloud-based platform for commercial, environmental, and humanitarian applications.

What you will do

  • Interface mission specifications between customers and hirify.global engineering teams.
  • Assess system-level budgets for engineering trades and feasibility studies.
  • Collaborate with mission operations and data product teams to align satellite systems with customer needs.
  • Participate in satellite assembly, integration, and testing, including test planning and anomaly resolution.
  • Provide verification and validation of satellite and ground systems through environmental, functional, and end-to-end testing.
  • Lead technical coordination across mechanical, thermal, ADSCS/GNC, propulsion, electrical, and manufacturing engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing satellite systems.
  • Customer-facing experience with briefings and design reviews.
  • Understanding of one or more satellite subsystems, including mechanical, thermal, ADSCS/GNC, propulsion, or electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with requirements formulation, validation, and verification practices.
  • Experience with vehicle testing, including functional and environmental testing.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree and 7+ years of satellite industry experience, including design and analysis, AI&T, or verification and validation.
  • Knowledge of NASA GEVS and SMC-S-16 standards for 50–200 kg small satellites.
  • Remote sensing experience involving electro-optical payloads.
  • Knowledge of space-environment design practices and constellation design or orbital simulations using custom tools or STK.
  • Understanding of ground-segment architecture, including mission control and mission processing elements.
