Project Manager (Fintech)

Location: Leeds, United Kingdom; hybrid work with in-person attendance at an assigned hirify.global office for a minimum of two days per week

What you will do

• Lead internal and client-facing software-delivery projects through the full lifecycle.
• Develop project plans, schedules, governance documentation, status reports, and delivery records.
• Monitor progress against scope, quality, schedule, and budget expectations.
• Chair client workshops and project meetings, documenting decisions, actions, dependencies, and responsibilities.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, coordinating root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, control scope changes, and support transition into ongoing operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing software deliveries within the financial-services sector.
• Experience managing schedule, scope, quality, budget, cross-functional teams, and client, internal, and third-party stakeholders.
• Experience applying a defined project-management methodology to plan, control, and report on software-delivery projects.
• Strong problem-solving, risk-management, issue-management, governance, and progress-reporting capabilities.
• Experience creating project plans, status reports, risk and issue logs, action records, and other delivery documentation.
• Experience using project and work-management tools such as Smartsheet and Jira, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering software solutions in the credit-risk domain.
• Understanding of application-processing, decisioning, behavioural-scoring software, and credit-bureau data.
• Experience with both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of lending decisions and credit facilities in banking, building-society, or retail environments.
