Project Manager Implementation (Payroll)

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of client payroll and payments implementations, from initiation and planning through delivery and closure.
• Develop project scopes, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
• Serve as the primary client contact, manage expectations, and lead kick-off, status, and post-implementation meetings.
• Coordinate technical teams, payroll specialists, third-party vendors, and other resources to achieve project milestones.
• Track and resolve issues and risks, escalating appropriately and providing accurate status reports to stakeholders.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Proven project management experience in software implementation, ideally in HR, payroll, or financial technology.
• Experience managing complex client-facing projects from inception to completion.
• Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, PRINCE2, or similar project management methodologies.
• Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project, Asana, or Jira, as well as Microsoft Office.
• Professional English proficiency required; the role is open in the United Kingdom or Spain.

Nice to have

• Experience with global payroll or payments solutions.
• Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification.
