Experienced Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Healthcare)

Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, IL, United States; onsite night shift

Salary: USD 36.50–58.40 per hour

What you will do

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent, evidence-based care for assigned emergency department patients.
• Assess patients, identify outcomes, plan and implement nursing interventions, and evaluate responses.
• Develop individualized, age-specific and culturally sensitive plans of care while advocating for patient safety and rights.
• Educate patients, families, students and team members, and communicate complete information during handoffs.
• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams and hospital services to achieve patient-centered outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement, shared leadership, mentoring, precepting and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an NLN-accredited school or college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate in difficult situations.
• Ability to use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data.

Nice to have

• Experience in the specific clinical area.
• Nursing specialty certification, when eligible.
