Pay range: $43.01–$70.95 per hour, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for neurosurgical patients throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments while monitoring patient responses and maintaining clinical competency.
• Coordinate care and communication among patients, families, physicians, nurses, case managers, and other disciplines.
• Provide patient and family education, advocacy, discharge coordination, and culturally responsive care.
• Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, performance improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Support nursing operations through delegation, mentoring, professional development, shared governance, and occasional charge nurse functions.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS may be required based on the department and type of care.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care and respond to emergency and crisis situations.
• Ability to stand and walk extensively, transfer patients and equipment, and work irregular hours in a clinical environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Specialty nursing certifications.
