Oncology Nurse Navigator - Sarcoma (40 Hours)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts; hybrid with 2–3 days onsite per week

What you will do

• Provide individualized nursing care, assessment, education, documentation, and care coordination for patients with sarcoma and other complex cancer needs.
• Serve as the primary nursing contact for patients in the physician practice setting, including new-patient calls, triage, referrals, and ongoing follow-up.
• Support transitions from active treatment to survivorship, chronic cancer management, palliative care, or end-of-life care.
• Advocate for shared decision-making and coordinate communication among patients, families, caregivers, and providers.
• Participate in program development, research, quality improvement, outcome tracking, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team while maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred. Associate-degree nurses must complete a BSN within four years.
• Completion of an Oncology Nurse Residency Program or one year of recent Registered Nurse experience.
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in Massachusetts or New Hampshire is required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification is required; AHA ACLS is accepted as the minimum requirement.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, organization, problem-solving, independent decision-making, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Experience in ambulatory care or oncology and professional nursing certification are preferred.
