What you will do

• Provide direct ambulatory clinical care for patients with a range of health problems.
• Conduct health histories and physical examinations, evaluate patients, and determine appropriate follow-up care.
• Prescribe or order medications and therapies, and order or interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and procedures within clinical privileges.
• Educate patients and families, document care in medical records, and coordinate referrals to other disciplines.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals while serving as a consultant and patient advocate.
• Participate in quality improvement, research, committees, staff education, and mentoring of students.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing school or Physician Assistant program.
• Acute care certification for APRNs, with inpatient NP experience considered in lieu of certification.
• First Assist Certification for APRNs.
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licenses, or an Illinois Physician Assistant license.
• National APRN certification approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APRN Board, plus credentialing through the hirify.global Medical Staff Office.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
