Registered Nurse Inpatient-Delnor Orthopedic Oncology Med Surg Unit Full Time Days

Location: Geneva, Illinois, United States; onsite inpatient nursing role with three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., every third weekend, and rotating holidays required.

Salary: USD 37.00–59.20 per hour

What you will do

• Assess acutely ill inpatient patients and develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Prescribe and delegate nursing care and determine the appropriate use of assistants involved in direct patient care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to coordinate services and communicate care decisions.
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and update care plans based on evaluation findings.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, unit projects, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an Associate Degree in Nursing is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work the required day-shift, weekend, and rotating holiday schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
