Registered Nurse-Outpatient Oncology Full Time Days (Oncology)

Location: Glenview, Illinois, United States; onsite, full-time day shift

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and update care plans, document outcomes, and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare services, including discharge planning and palliative care referrals.
• Educate patients and families about medications, side effects, treatment instructions, and available resources.
• Administer medications safely, monitor patients, participate in quality initiatives, and help prevent falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and central line infections.
• Lead and collaborate with patient care technicians and other staff, supporting handoffs, precepting, mentoring, and unit coordination.
• Maintain complete electronic documentation and use clinical technologies including barcode medication administration, Alaris pumps, physiologic monitoring, and electronic medical records.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an ADN is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, collaboration, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to follow the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and applicable clinical, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
