Sr. Analyst, Authorization Services Design & Configuration (Healthcare)

Location: Fully remote, open only to candidates who reside in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Future work models may potentially include hybrid presence at the associated metro-area hub office.

Base pay: $75,348–$98,894 per year, plus annual performance bonuses.

What you will do

• Manage authorization workflows, rulesets, automations, and configuration within the Utilization Management platform.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, business logic, and tested system implementations.
• Investigate escalations, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve system behavior and configuration gaps.
• Identify authorization-process friction points and document workflow improvement and automation opportunities.
• Act as the Utilization Management system subject matter expert for Product, Clinical, Regulatory, and other partners.
• Develop test protocols, validate system behavior, manage corrective activities, and maintain workflow and business-rule documentation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in system configuration, business-rules management, or technical workflow design.
• At least 2 years of experience in a technical or operational role involving root-cause analysis and data troubleshooting.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
• Experience assessing end-to-end process impacts in complex technical environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical system logic to non-technical partners.
• At least 1 year of working knowledge of the healthcare industry, preferably in payer or provider operations.

Nice to have

• Experience with prior authorizations or insurance operations.
• At least 2 years of experience with SQL, BigQuery, or similar database languages.
• Experience with JIRA, Linear, Slack, large datasets, data verification, and data management.
