Healthcare Strategy Role (AI/Medical Billing)

Location: Office-based in Chelsea, New York City; in-office Monday through Thursday, remote on Fridays.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus equity.

hirify.global is a seed-stage healthcare technology company building an AI-native patient financial platform that helps Americans understand and lower medical bills, challenge claim denials, correct billing errors, secure financial assistance, and negotiate with providers.

What you will do

• Review medical bills and cases to assess whether costs can be lowered, how to lower them, and the confidence level of each assessment.
• Analyze open and closed cases to identify systematic opportunities and translate patterns into strategy, process improvements, and product input.
• Partner with Product as the healthcare domain owner for the AI bill analyzer, shaping automation rules and product priorities.
• Serve as the escalation point for VIP, high-complexity, and specialized cases.
• Partner with CX on advocacy playbooks, training, onboarding, and quality improvements for Healthcare Advocates.
• Publish weekly opportunity reports and help translate user and advocate pain points into roadmap input.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a complex consumer industry.
• Experience in strategy, product, or operations at a technology company, including building something from scratch.
• Fluency in medical billing, including CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, EOBs, appeals, financial assistance policies, No Surprises Act protections, and provider negotiations.
• Experience working across both provider and payer sides of medical billing.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and shifting scope across multiple teams in a fast-moving startup.
• Subject-matter expertise in healthcare navigation and hands-on experience with AI or agentic tools in billing, clinical, or operations settings.

Nice to have

• Experience working directly with patients in advocacy, care navigation, or patient financial services.
• Experience training or leading billers, advocates, or specialists.
