Early Careers - Business Analyst Intern (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid internship in Chicago, Illinois or Richardson, Texas; flex employees are expected to work in the office at least three days per week. Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Base pay: $19.13–$34.17 per hour.

What you will do

• Participate in a formal ten-week paid internship supporting business objectives and member-focused solutions.
• Own assigned project components and deliverables with guidance from a mentor and manager.
• Conduct research, analyze data and information, and develop recommendations for business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Support initiatives that improve business outcomes and member and client experience.
• Prepare and deliver a final presentation covering the project, results, and recommendations.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree as a rising senior, with graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Major in business, data analytics, information technology, information systems, computer science, or another relevant field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Available for the full ten-week program and authorized to work unrestricted in the United States.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Practical PC skills, especially Office 365 and virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Nice to have

• Prior related technical internship or work experience.
• Volunteerism or leadership experience.
• Participation in IT associations, organizations, or relevant technical competitions.
• Interest in the healthcare payer industry or an IT career.
