Corporate Controller (FinTech)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 USD per year, plus annual bonus and equity

hirify.global is a fast-growing, private equity-backed FinTech company that helps multi-location businesses automate accounts payable through AP automation and vendor payments powered by AI and machine learning.

What you will do

• Own daily accounting operations across the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and payroll accounting.
• Run the month-end close and deliver accurate, timely financial statements with analysis for senior leadership.
• Manage external audits, tax advisors, GAAP compliance, revenue recognition, capitalized software, and stock compensation accounting.
• Reconcile payment-partner activity with internal data and bank records, including interchange, rebates, restricted cash, and transaction revenue.
• Build internal controls, financial policies, treasury processes, entity compliance, and exit-readiness documentation.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, manage vendors, and implement finance automation and AI tools.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller experience at a standalone company.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, with experience managing external audits.
• Hands-on accounts payable leadership experience and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience implementing or optimizing ERP, close management, spend management, or other finance systems.
• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, high-growth, private equity-backed technology company.

• SaaS, payments, or FinTech experience.
• Due diligence or quality-of-earnings experience.
• Experience selecting or implementing AP automation platforms.
