Director, Revenue Accounting

What you will do

• Own revenue and direct-cost accounting for consumer offerings including labs, scans, mobile phlebotomy, and supplements.
• Serve as the reporting authority for contribution margin across consumer revenue streams.
• Bring fragmented close processes, external firms, contractors, and systems in house under one standardized process.
• Automate month-end close workflows using AI tools and agents to reduce manual work and support business growth.
• Integrate new products and acquired businesses into the standard revenue accounting process.
• Hire, manage, and develop the team while owning the consumer revenue audit relationship and SOX-ready controls.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct in-house ownership of a consumer or health technology revenue close.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 for subscription and service revenue.
• Experience building standardized accounting processes, internal systems, and controls in a raw or early-stage function.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools or agents in month-end close or accounting workflows.
• People management experience, including hiring and developing managers or senior accountants.

Nice to have

• Big Four public accounting experience.
• CPA certification or equivalent.
• Experience integrating acquired businesses into a parent company’s close process.
• SQL or other transaction-level data-querying experience.
• Experience with subscription, membership, consumer health, Rillet, or similar revenue automation platforms.
