Director, Finance Transformation (AI)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid 70/30 work model with 70% in-office collaboration.

Salary: $167,000–$300,700 per year, with potential annual bonus, incentive compensation, or equity.

What you will do

• Lead the integrated Finance transformation roadmap across the Record-to-Analyze value chain, including FP&A, Accounting, and Tax.
• Identify and deliver opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and redesign Finance processes while maintaining controls and functional ownership.
• Shape Finance technology, data, master-data, analytics, and management P&L capabilities in partnership with Digital and Finance stakeholders.
• Apply AI, intelligent automation, and self-service analytics to reporting, forecasting, close, analysis, and other Finance workflows.
• Own transformation portfolio governance, prioritization, sequencing, dependencies, resources, risks, and value realization.
• Coordinate change, communication, training, adoption, and capability building across Finance, Digital, HR, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance transformation, FP&A, Accounting, corporate finance, consulting, Finance systems, data, analytics, or related areas.
• Strong knowledge of Finance processes and the Record-to-Analyze value chain, including planning, forecasting, management reporting, accounting, close, data, and analytics.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle EPM, and enterprise Finance technology and data environments.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional transformations from strategy and design through implementation, adoption, and benefits realization.
• Strong analytical, communication, executive presence, organizational, stakeholder-influence, and business-judgment skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in biopharma, life sciences, or another complex regulated industry.
• Experience applying AI, automation, advanced analytics, or digital capabilities to Finance processes.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Finance operating models, process design, change management, or value realization.
• MBA, CPA, CFA, or another relevant advanced degree.
