Vice President of Finance (Fintech)

Location: US Remote; remote employment is available to candidates who reside in select US states.

Salary: $220,000–$300,000 USD annually, with an anticipated midpoint of $260,000.

What you will do

• Own the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of enterprise financial statements and close processes.
• Lead annual financial statement audits, technical accounting reviews, tax coordination, intercompany accounting, and internal controls.
• Drive budgeting, budget-to-actual analysis, long-term financial modeling, forecasting, re-forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the CFO/COO, senior leaders, boards, and board committees.
• Oversee core accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll-related finance activities, capitalization records, and 409A valuation.
• Improve financial systems, processes, controls, scalability, and visibility while partnering with Legal, Risk, Operations, and other functions.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, technical accounting, audits, tax coordination, and internal controls.
• Experience building integrated financial models and leading budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and variance analysis across multiple entities or business lines.
• Previous experience as a Controller, Senior Controller, or senior finance leader responsible for financial reporting and planning.
• Strong executive communication, cross-functional leadership, judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work hands-on in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Active CPA license.
• Public company, Big Four, financial services, securities market, exchange, or venture-backed technology experience.
• Experience with GAAP and non-GAAP reporting and complex technical accounting matters.
• Experience building or scaling finance capabilities at an early-stage or growth-stage company.
