Sales Rep Small Group (Health Insurance)

Location: Richardson, Texas, United States; flex employees must work in the office at least three days per week

Salary: $47,300–$71,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus

What you will do

• Learn and support sales operations for an assigned territory.
• Prospect for, acquire, and renew small-group insurance business.
• Generate sales reports and complete requests for proposals.
• Provide support to clients and brokers.
• Work toward renewal and new-sales goals, including presentations to groups.
• Travel for business, including occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• State insurance license, or ability to obtain one within 90 days.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel, including overnight stays.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics.
• One year of customer service, account management, or sales experience.
• Experience in life and disability sales requiring self-direction, initiative, and decision-making.
• Negotiation skills.
