Senior Software Developer (Fullstack)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The role may require in-person onboarding and/or in-person identity verification.

Base salary: CAD 107,000–157,300 per year for Canada-based roles; offers may exceed this range.

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of complex full-stack solutions across frontend, backend, APIs, and platform integrations.
• Provide architectural direction for scalable, secure, high-performing web applications and shared components.
• Build and guide modern web experiences using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, REST and GraphQL APIs, cloud services, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own critical technical deliverables from design through implementation, release, and post-production monitoring.
• Improve testing, observability, web performance, developer productivity, and operational workflows across teams.
• Mentor engineers and align Product, XD, DevOps, Security, Data/Analytics, Marketing, and partner engineering teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on full-stack web development expertise.
• Deep experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, or similar frontend technologies.
• Strong backend experience with Node.js, Java, Python, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
• Experience leading complex initiatives across multiple engineers, teams, services, or repositories.
• Strong system design, web performance, accessibility, security, scalability, reliability, observability, automated testing, and CI/CD skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale web, commerce, marketing technology, or customer-facing digital experience platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, content management systems, experimentation, personalization, analytics, or commerce checkout flows.
• Experience with micro-frontends, monorepos, shared component libraries, design systems, or platform engineering.
• Experience with observability tools, E2E automation, performance testing, monitoring, and production readiness practices.
• Exposure to AI-assisted engineering, developer productivity tooling, or agentic engineering workflows.
