Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work model with in-office days

Salary: CA$70K–CA$85K annually, plus equity options and benefits

What you will do

• Analyze business fundamentals and financial performance for prospective and existing credit investments.
• Monitor portfolio performance, account behavior, credit exposure, and signs of potential deterioration.
• Conduct periodic financial reviews and assess repayment capacity.
• Recommend credit-limit adjustments and escalate concerns to the Credit Committee.
• Collaborate with clients to gather financial information and participate in due diligence calls with senior executives.
• Improve credit-monitoring frameworks, risk policies, and portfolio-management practices using performance data.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, transaction advisory, consulting, corporate banking, investment banking, or a similar field.
• Strong interest in investing and an understanding of private debt or equity investment analysis.
• Ability to analyze data, validate investment hypotheses, and combine quantitative analysis with qualitative judgment.
• Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness, and an ROI-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions in ambiguous situations, and collaborate cross-functionally.
• SQL or similar data-analysis tools are advantageous.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• French language skills for communication with Quebec-based prospects and executives.
