Financial Analyst

Location: hirify.global Okanagan Campus, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: $7,158.42–$10,292.25 CAD per month

What you will do

• Support campus-wide quarterly and annual budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and five-year planning.
• Collect and analyze financial data, investigate variances, identify root causes, and prepare management insights.
• Post journal entries, funding transfers, accruals, and forecast updates in Workday and Adaptive Planning.
• Reconcile central accounts, general ledger transactions, cost centers, and financial management systems.
• Develop financial models for sensitivity analysis, trend analysis, cost analysis, impact assessments, and what-if scenarios.
• Prepare research funding, indirect cost recovery, ad-hoc financial reports, invoices, and related documentation.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and enrollment in the CPA Professional Education Program.
• At least three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced skills with financial software, databases, spreadsheets, word-processing tools, and financial reporting.
• Ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles, perform complex analyses, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, exercise judgment and confidentiality, and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to respecting diverse perspectives and developing knowledge and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP implementation and Workday.
• Knowledge of hirify.global institutional accounting processes, chart of accounts, technical accounting, reporting, fixed assets, capitalization, and capital projects.
