Senior Engineer I - Validation (ASIC)

Location: Basking Ridge, New Jersey, United States; 100% inside with regular on-site physical work.

Annual base salary: $70,304–$140,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Plan, develop, code, and execute pre-silicon and post-silicon validation plans.
• Debug hardware and software issues at the operating-system level.
• Analyze and debug PCI Express and NVMe protocols.
• Build and support validation infrastructure using embedded software, device drivers, and test tools.
• Collaborate with architects and designers to influence future product architecture, features, and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience for the Senior Engineer I level.
• Proficiency in C and/or embedded C programming.
• Experience with Tcl and Python scripting.
• Strong knowledge of digital systems and computer architecture.
• Ability to develop functional validation plans and the software required to execute them.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PCI/PCI Express system architecture.
• Familiarity with NVMe, SCSI, AHCI, SATA, or SAS storage interfaces.
• Experience developing Windows or Linux device drivers.
• Experience using laboratory equipment such as protocol analyzers.
• Knowledge of machine learning.
