IC CAD Engineer (EDA)

Location: Chandler, Arizona, USA. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the US without visa support.

Annual base salary: USD 143,800–230,000, plus discretionary bonus and equity opportunities.

What you will do

• Develop, deploy, install, and test Calibre verification decks for advanced FINFET, GAA, and high-voltage technology nodes.
• Define tool acceptance, certification criteria, IP test cases, and test structures with engineering teams, foundries, and EDA vendors.
• Build automation and integrate CAD tool flows using SKILL, PERL, TCL, UNIX shell scripting, and related utilities.
• Extend regression testing to support extraction and simulation tools such as StarRC, HSPICE, QRC, and SPECTRE.
• Track and resolve CAD tool and technology-file issues while supporting releases, user documentation, and hands-on training.
• Evaluate emerging EDA tools and capabilities and help introduce validated solutions into design workflows.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 10+ years of EDA experience.
• Experience with Calibre, Virtuoso Layout and Schematics, Quantus QRC, StarRC, QuickCap, Raphael, SPECTRE, and HSPICE.
• Expertise in Cadence SKILL, PERL, UNIX shell scripting, and utilities.
• Strong background in programming, basic layout design, technology knowledge, physical verification, and post-layout extraction.
• Experience across CAD tool evaluation, QA, testing, release, user support, and documentation.
• Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
