SoC Development Engineer (ASIC)

Location: Rancho Cordova, California, United States. This role reports out of Rancho Cordova, CA.

Salary: $148,320–$273,100 per year. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Design and verify functional units, subsystems, IP, and full-chip SoC designs for SSD products.
• Develop and simulate RTL using industry-standard SoC design methodologies.
• Create and review test plans, execution plans, verification strategies, and system simulations.
• Apply UVM, firmware co-simulation, formal property verification, and related verification techniques.
• Execute the SoC design flow from high-level synthesis through place and route, timing, power analysis, and manufacturing-ready design database delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and investigate new design tools and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
• Experience with ASIC or SoC development, digital logic design, and implementation in advanced technology nodes.
• Familiarity with functional verification methodologies, including UVM and formal property verification.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, project teamwork, stakeholder management, and time management skills.
• Programming or hardware description language experience with C, C++, Python, Java, Verilog, VHDL, and/or SystemVerilog.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of ASIC or SoC development experience, or equivalent.
• Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, or a related field.
