Principal Technician - Manufacturing Technician/Seibi (Battery Cell)

Location: Liberty, North Carolina, United States; onsite role with support for weekends, off-shift work, holidays, annual July and December shutdowns, and up to 30% domestic and international business travel.

What you will do

• Plan Seibi activities with Production Engineering and create detailed schedules aligned with project master plans.
• Execute machine setup, commissioning, and hands-on Seibi tasks for battery manufacturing equipment.
• Mentor technicians and support technical development across cross-functional groups.
• Manage commissioning documentation, project status reporting, and communication with management.
• Identify technical and team barriers, implement countermeasures, and solve complex regional issues.
• Evaluate task safety using Job Safety Analyses and implement risk mitigation plans.

Requirements

• Technical associate degree or higher, or equivalent field experience.
• Experience with complex manufacturing equipment, including component assembly machines, robots, or high-volume processing machines.
• Technical problem-solving experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience teaching technical subjects in classroom or on-the-job training settings.
• PLC programming experience, including reading, interpreting, modifying, and setting up communications.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future hirify.global immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Machine Safety Fundamental Course completion, Toyopuc or Mitsubishi PLC programming experience, and Microsoft Power BI experience.
• Experience analyzing quality data and presenting reports to management or executives.
• Experience with standardized work, Job Instruction Sheets, new model launches, or TBP Panel completion.
