Release Train Engineer (Go)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable full-stack features, primarily using Go or other modern programming languages.
• Test, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize application code across existing systems and platforms.
• Review and sequence merge requests to reduce deployment risk and verify frontend/backend compatibility.
• Coordinate release cycles across DEV, TEST, and PROD environments with stabilization windows between stages.
• Validate deployments through installation checks, database and index troubleshooting, smoke testing, and exception-dashboard monitoring.
• Document release procedures and coordinate manual scripts, data reprocessing, and issue resolution with engineering teams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience across frontend and backend technologies.
• Advanced Git workflow knowledge, including complex merge strategies, conflict resolution, and release branching.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, build automation, and code-review workflows.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph, including willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence Polygraph.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills for coordinating releases and resolving engineering bottlenecks.

Nice to have

• Experience with operational software, intelligence analysis tools, or government mission software.
• Knowledge of database indexes, Cypress or similar automated testing, and application monitoring dashboards.
• Understanding of infrastructure as code, deployment scripting, or containerized environments.
• SAFe RTE, AWS Certified Developer, or related Agile/DevOps certifications.
