Deployment Strategist (AI)

Location: Remote in Los Angeles, California, with collaboration primarily within U.S. time zones

What you will do

• Own strategic enterprise deployments from initial scoping through production go-live, hypercare, and customer self-sufficiency.
• Define focused workflows, engagement exit criteria, statements of work, timelines, capacity, and acceptance criteria.
• Build and run engagement plans covering milestones, workstreams, owners, dependencies, risks, issues, and escalations.
• Drive customer-side data access, security and IT reviews, environment provisioning, stakeholder availability, testing, validation, and production readiness.
• Lead customer enablement through training, documentation, change management, and executive communication.
• Direct Forward Deployed Engineers and Customer Solutions Engineers while developing reusable delivery patterns, integration components, and reference architectures.

Requirements

• 5+ years owning complex enterprise technical deployments end to end as a forward deployed engineer, technical program manager, solutions architect, or delivery lead.
• Proven success delivering multi-workstream enterprise deployments to on-time go-live, including customer-side critical path dependencies.
• Engineering or technical background with practical fluency in cloud architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and integration patterns.
• Ability to control scope, manage senior stakeholder expectations, maintain written engagement documentation, and communicate with VP- and C-level sponsors.
• Comfort working in ambiguous enterprise environments and directing technical teams without requiring translation.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client implementation work.

Nice to have

• Experience with on-premise, VPC, or air-gapped deployments in regulated industries.
• Familiarity with GxP, HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar compliance and validation frameworks.
• Experience with AI/ML workflows, model deployment, or agent orchestration.
• Background in forward deployed engineering or in turning one-off engagements into repeatable delivery motions.
