Tier 2 Network Engineer (U.S.)

Location: Remote within the U.S.; second-shift hours are 4pm–12am MST for the additional stipend.

Salary: Up to $130,000 annually, plus a $20,000 annual second-shift stipend.

What you will do

• Own Tier 2 escalations across Cisco routing, switching, wireless, security, firewalls, and SD-WAN environments.
• Investigate and resolve complex performance, connectivity, authentication, and uptime issues across enterprise networks.
• Document findings, troubleshooting steps, root causes, and resolutions for unfamiliar and recurring issues.
• Work directly with enterprise client IT staff on incidents, progress updates, and resolution activities.
• Bring new environments online, including documentation and monitoring, while identifying optimization opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Tier 3, and infrastructure teams; mentor junior staff and improve SOPs.

Requirements

• At least three years of practical network engineering or support experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching.
• Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, trunking, VPNs, ACLs, and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of wireless networking, network security, and technologies such as Cisco FMC/FTD/Firepower, Cisco SD-WAN/SD-Access, and Palo Alto platforms.
• Fluent English required, with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
