HVAC Service Technician

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, site surveys, equipment replacements, and system modifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot commercial HVAC and mechanical issues, identifying failed components and completing service requests.
• Perform factory-authorized equipment startups, warranty services, and the transition of projects from installation through the service period.
• Travel to customer job sites, coordinate schedules with the Service Manager, and communicate delays to customers.
• Maintain safety standards, asset records, and required daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
• Work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays when business needs require.

Requirements

• High school diploma or state-recognized GED.
• 5+ years of experience installing and/or maintaining commercial HVAC systems.
• Refrigerant CFC 608 certification.
• Working knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, fan coil units, water treatment equipment, controls, pumps, variable frequency drives, ductwork, piping, and related mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, judgment, teamwork, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-based sponsorship. Must be able to work in demanding indoor and outdoor conditions, use tools and technology, and move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.

• Mechanical, electrical, or related technical degree.
