HVAC Technician (Industrial HVAC)

What you will do

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems, chilled water systems, and centralized air handling units.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, digital, and central energy management controls, including multi-zone heating and cooling systems.
• Conduct coil cleanings, filter changes, testing and balancing, sensor calibrations, UV bulb replacements, belt replacement, damper repairs, and electrical safety inspections.
• Oversee commercial installations, construction layouts, energy-efficiency retrofits, custom system modifications, and municipal permitting.
• Lead and train apprentices, journeymen, and other facilities technicians while ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards.
• Document work and labor time in the Engineering CMMS and provide equipment condition, repair cost, replacement, and downtime recommendations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in a commercial, industrial, or healthcare environment, including 3–5 years of documented hands-on apprentice and journeyman experience.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.
• Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with facilities management, colleagues, leaders, and visitors.
