2027 Spring Co-op Cell Culture Bioprocess

Location: Framingham, Massachusetts; onsite. Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for the full six-month co-op.

Salary: $45–$57 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Design experimental studies and support screening and Design of Experiments activities.
• Operate high-throughput cell culture bioreactors, including Ambr15 and Ambr250.
• Conduct sterile mammalian cell culture work with CHO cells and perform media preparation.
• Execute literature searches to support bioprocess parameter optimization.
• Compile and analyze experimental data using Spotfire, JMP, and other statistical tools.
• Prepare presentations and collaborate with the Cell Culture Bioprocess team on ongoing projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master's or PhD degree in biotechnology, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States and must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must remain enrolled at an accredited college or university throughout the co-op.
• Must be able to work onsite in Framingham, Massachusetts, 40 hours per week for the full duration of the six-month program.

Nice to have

• Hands-on mammalian cell culture experience, including CHO cells or similar.
• Experience with sterile environments, aseptic techniques, and bench-top bioreactor operations.
• Familiarity with upstream bioprocess development and parameter optimization.
• Experience with Spotfire, JMP, or similar statistical analysis tools.
• Strong independent working, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
