Co-op, Cell Models and Molecular Biology

Location: Cambridge, MA, United States. This is a 6-month full-time student co-op from January through June 2027. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Base compensation: $29.00–$33.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Generate, maintain, and characterize human iPSCs and iPSC-derived cell types.
• Support molecular and cellular biology assays measuring cellular health, redox state, and disease-associated phenotypes.
• Automate laboratory protocols using the Molecular Devices CellXpress robotic platform.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot experimental protocols to improve assay robustness and reproducibility.
• Maintain experimental records and contribute to data interpretation and communication.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects involving experimental design, protocol development, automation, and data analysis.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university, or skills program/apprenticeship.
• At least 18 years of age before the scheduled start date.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Background in biology, cell biology, bioengineering, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree; master’s students and PhD candidates may also be considered.
• Preferred academic areas include biochemistry, molecular biology, biochemical engineering, biology, and biotechnology.

Nice to have

• Hands-on laboratory experience.
• Experience with iPSC culture or molecular biology techniques.
• Experience with robotics or laboratory automation.
