Co-Op, Research Analytics (Biotech)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; full-time winter-spring Co-Op from January 18 to June 25, 2027, with a 70/30 in-office work model.

Salary: $20.00–$60.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Support development and optimization of multiplex Luminex immunoassays for preclinical antibody-binding assessment.
• Perform antigen-bead conjugation, single-plex and multiplex assay development, characterization, and troubleshooting.
• Miniaturize a 96-well Luminex assay into a 384-well format and evaluate analytical performance.
• Design and execute laboratory experiments, analyze quantitative results, and guide follow-up studies.
• Compare the developed Luminex assay with an established 384-well indirect ELISA for analytical performance and biological agreement.
• Document experiments and communicate findings through team discussions, data reviews, and a final project presentation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s STEM program such as biology, biochemistry, immunology, molecular biology, bioengineering, or biotechnology.
• Foundational laboratory skills applicable to bioprocessing or analytical testing.
• Must be available for the entire January 18–June 25, 2027 program and work in the United States.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available; candidates must already hold and maintain U.S. work authorization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining accurate experimental records.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent academic achievement.
• Prior wet-lab experience through coursework, academic research, internships, or industry work.
• Experience with ELISA, immunoassays, plate-based assays, antibody-based techniques, or data-analysis and graphing software.
• Interest in multiplex immunoassays and iterative experimental development.
