Systems Administrator - Future Operations

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, administer, patch, upgrade, and maintain VMware ESXi 7 and 8 hosts, vSphere/vCenter 8, clusters, virtual machines, and related components.
• Monitor and optimize virtual infrastructure performance, capacity, availability, resource utilization, and stability.
• Support FlexPod infrastructure with Cisco UCS compute, Cisco networking, NetApp ONTAP storage, and VMware virtualization.
• Administer Cisco UCS Manager, physical servers, NetApp storage components, datastores, VLANs, virtual switches, and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot issues across virtualization, compute, storage, networking, Linux, and security layers.
• Support workload migrations, technology refreshes, platform modernization, and transitions between test, lab, and operational environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, data science, information systems, information technology, or software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience requirement: 0 years with a bachelor’s degree, 2 years with an associate degree, or 4 years without a degree.
• Active Secret US security clearance required before starting.
• DoW 8140 compliance certification required: CompTIA Security+ or Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or Systems Security Certified Practitioner.
• Knowledge of virtualization principles, containerization, VMware administration, Cisco UCS, NetApp ONTAP, Layer 2/3 networking, IPv4, DNS, and network time synchronization.
