Associate Transmission Line Design Engineer

What you will do

• Design and support new and existing transmission line projects, including routing layouts, support systems, specifications, and proposal evaluations.
• Perform engineering calculations for transmission line structures and equipment.
• Support project planning, construction management, field construction, and coordination with contractors, suppliers, and maintenance groups.
• Work with LiDAR data, transmission design standards, information systems, and project documentation.
• Assist with root cause failure analysis, system improvements, procurement recommendations, and project closeout.
• Support storm response, emergency restoration, and re-energization of transmission lines and substation feeders.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering required.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively with engineers and non-technical colleagues.
• Ability to collaborate with project management, system operating, accounting, planning, testing, maintenance, and customer-facing groups.
• Ability to present facts based on research or technical knowledge and bring assignments to completion.
• All engineering experience levels will be considered.
