TL;DR
Operational Technology Engineer (SCADA/ADMS): Supporting the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of DMS, SCADA, OMS, and related OT platforms for transmission and distribution networks with an accent on power system modeling, GIS data integration, and real-time grid operations. Focus on configuring DPF, FLISR, and VVC applications, troubleshooting OT systems, validating deployments, and supporting cybersecurity and compliance activities.

What you will do

  • Configure, install, maintain, test, and validate operational technology systems supporting transmission and distribution grid operations.
  • Support Distribution Management System, SCADA, and Outage Management System platforms used by field teams, engineering, planning, reporting, and dispatch.
  • Develop and maintain ADMS power system data models and support DPF, FLISR, and VVC applications.
  • Integrate GIS data into ADMS through data extraction, translation, and loading processes.
  • Troubleshoot OT system issues, escalate complex problems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance.
  • Document current and future OT architectures, support compliance activities, coordinate with vendors, and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, preferably from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience; internships or academic projects in power systems or OT are beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of power systems, SCADA, or industrial control systems.
  • Foundational knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and learn from senior engineers.
