Electrical Engineer Manager - ASU Americas

Location: Onsite in Allentown, Pennsylvania or Houston, Texas, United States; 20% travel to hirify.global and customer sites.

What you will do

• Lead the regional electrical engineering team of engineers and designers across Americas proposals and projects.
• Recruit team members, allocate resources, and support project staffing.
• Set goals and development plans while supporting professional growth.
• Supervise engineering delivery and provide technical expertise within schedule and quality constraints.
• Contribute to electrical design standards and define execution models for engineering scope.
• Manage supplier and outsourcing partner relationships and improve processes based on lessons learned.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and demonstrated experience designing electrical power systems in the process industry.
• Supervisory experience with budget responsibility and experience developing staff.
• Experience communicating with teams across multiple offices and locations.
• Understanding of 1–10 MW induction and synchronous motors.
• Experience specifying and procuring low-, medium-, and high-voltage switchgear, power transformers, and power electronics including LCI systems, VSDs, and thyristor controllers.
• Ability to use power-system analysis software such as SKM Powertools or ETAP; self-motivated and accountable for results.

Nice to have

• Experience with motors above 10 MW.
• Previous team managerial experience.
