Vendor Engagement Lead – Vulnerability Management Programme

Location: Predominantly remote in the UK, with occasional onsite attendance in London for important meetings and workshops

Salary: £600–700 per day

Recruitment engagement supporting a board-priority vulnerability and patch management transformation for a global investment banking organisation, delivered alongside a major technology services and infrastructure provider.

What you will do

• Lead senior-level discussions with major infrastructure, security, and technology vendors.
• Assess vendor capabilities, proposed solutions, and remediation approaches.
• Challenge vendors and identify opportunities to improve vulnerability and patch management outcomes.
• Consolidate information from vendors and internal teams into clear recommendations, risks, and opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and executive-level discussions across programme and technology stakeholders.
• Track actions through completion and keep vendors aligned with programme objectives.

Requirements

• Strong experience managing relationships with major technology, infrastructure, or security vendors.
• Good understanding of vulnerability management, patch management, technology lifecycle, or cyber risk.
• Experience working in large, complex technology environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and executive-level audiences at VP, AVP, or Senior Manager level.
• Pragmatic approach to programme delivery and completing actions.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and AI productivity tools.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated environment.
