Senior Manager (Defence AI)

Location: London, UK. The role requires working on-site with Defence customers 2–4 days per week and may involve travel throughout the UK. When not on client sites, work is available from the London office or remotely from elsewhere within the UK. Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC) is required.

What you will do

• Manage delivery of multiple complex defence programmes spanning strategy, R&D, and bespoke digital product development.
• Oversee a portfolio of projects and align delivery with departmental strategic objectives.
• Develop mission-focused proposals to grow the Defence and National Security portfolio.
• Advise senior military and civilian stakeholders on AI strategy, technical implementation, and deployment at scale.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and industry partners while delivering improved operational outcomes and decision-making.
• Mentor team members and support wider strategic and commercial work across the business unit.

Requirements

• Experienced Senior Manager with a background managing complex, large-scale transformation programmes in demanding environments.
• Significant experience in the Defence sector, gained through the Armed Forces, Government, academia, or industry.
• Track record of shipping digital products and delivering AI-enabled services in a Government or Defence context.
• Deep interest in AI and ML concepts, with the ability to apply them to modern battlespace and organisational challenges.
• Technical ability to discuss engineering concepts and practical AI deployment with senior stakeholders.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) and able to work on-site with customers 2–4 days per week.
