Senior Technician (Offshore Wind)

Location: IJmuiden, Noord-Holland, Netherlands, at the Hollandse Kust Nord offshore wind farm. The role follows a 7-days-on/7-days-off rotational shift and involves offshore operations.

What you will do

• Perform complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on offshore wind turbine generators.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance, diagnostic testing, and system commissioning according to hirify.global standards.
• Analyze turbine performance data and diagnostic logs to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to junior and newly hired local technicians.
• Enforce offshore safety standards, Zero Harm policies, and applicable Dutch regulations.

Requirements

• Vocational degree, technical diploma, or equivalent apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, including 2–3 years in offshore wind.
• Advanced expertise in Wind Turbine Generator diagnostics and high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Experience with risk assessment, incident reporting, safety compliance, and offshore operations.
• Availability for a 7-days-on/7-days-off rotational shift.

Nice to have

• GWO Basic Safety Training certification.
• GWO Enhanced First Aid certification.
• Offshore Medical Certificate such as NOGEPA/NOG or equivalent.
