HR Advisor

Location: Fully office based at the Crewe head office, United Kingdom, Monday to Friday.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and coaching to managers and employees across the business.
• Manage cases involving absence, performance, conduct, wellbeing, and employee queries.
• Support long-term absence processes, occupational health referrals, return-to-work planning, and capability procedures.
• Advise on family-friendly policies, including maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave.
• Maintain accurate HR data, attend formal people meetings, and improve policies, processes, and documentation.
• Support People Associates and contribute to engagement, Investors in People, and wider People strategy projects.

Requirements

• Experience in a generalist HR or People Advisor role in a commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience handling a broad range of employee matters.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and a varied caseload with accuracy and resilience.
• Experience using HR systems and working with people data.
• Clear communication, coaching, influencing, relationship-building, and collaborative working skills.
• CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential.
