Embedded Software Test Engineer Graduate

Location: United States, Texas; hybrid work with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office

Salary: USD 71,700–165,800 annual base salary in Texas; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Design and maintain manual and automated test cases for embedded software features and functionalities.
• Author and execute test plans, protocols, and documentation, then analyze results and debug issues.
• Collaborate with embedded software developers, software systems engineers, and internal or outsourced development partners.
• Analyze system designs and define coding, programming, integration, and testing activities.
• Contribute to validation and resolution of complex technical issues and improve testing tools, methodologies, and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
• Must graduate within one year before the start date.
• Proficiency with Python, C, Go, or comparable programming languages and software systems design tools.
• Knowledge of software testing methodology, test plans, debugging, testing scripts, and testing tools.
• Understanding of computer architecture, devices, communication protocols, embedded Linux, and device drivers.
• Mastery of English and the local language is required. Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative decision-making skills are expected.
